Other Reiki Systems
Today, there seem to be more Reiki systems than sand corns at the beach. They are generally based on the Usui system, but include more symbols or focus on particular aspects of need. For some, it is a pre-requisite to be attuned to Usui Reiki or even be a Reiki Master. Even Reiki Master/Teachers amongst themselves seem to argue, because some attune people without any previous Reiki knowledge to some systems whereas others won’t.
In the end of the day, every attunement clears the channels to allow Reiki energy to flow. A Reiki 1 attunement generally helps as it teaches the basics of Reiki and hand positions for treatments. However, the more advanced you get, the less you will stick to traditional positions as you will use more and more your intuition and feel where the energy is needed most.
Karuna Ki:
Karuna Reiki is the healing art and meditation practise through Divine Heart of Compassion. It is strongly recommended that you are trained to Master level in the Usui Reiki system, as the symbols work hand in hand together with the further symbols from Karuna Reiki. They work in similar ways, but the Karuna Reiki works on a higher frequency and is therefore even more powerful. It also involves chanting and toning. These two systems together are probably the most powerful Reiki healing combination. It was developed by William Rand in 1995 who registered the name Karuna Reiki, therefore the system is called Karuna Ki if the line is not by William Rand.
The attunement can be given as a singular attunement, or can be split into three attunements.
Psychic Reiki:
We all have psychic abilities to a certain degree. Children especially tend to be very intuitive, but over the years for most people reason takes over and they stop listening to their inner voice or ignore it. At one stage the inner voice stops “talking”. This attunement will connect you again with your intuition.
Every Reiki attunement also increases your psychic abilities and confidence. However, whereas the Usui system focuses on the healing side of Reiki, this system focuses on the psychic side. It won’t make you a clairvoyant over night, however, it will help you to develop your psychic abilities and intuition.
Shamanic Healing:
Shamans have existed in many cultures all over the world for many centuries. Nowadays, in a world full of stress and many new diseases, they become increasingly important. This course teaches you how to re-connect with your spirit to heal yourself and help others. Reiki speeds up the process to “finding your true self”.
Obviously the way to becoming a shaman is long and should be done only with a personal teacher that you trust, because the path is dangerous and without proper guidance you might find spirits from lower planes playing tricks on you which can cause lots of harm. When the time is right you will come across the right person.
However, the healing energy can be of great help and be a good step towards becoming a healer or just to heal yourself and discover your real you… and to maintain this level.
