Colours in our home
Colours can have a big impact to our homes. The right colour and the right place and make a big difference. Trust your intuition when choosing the right colours for your home. If it feels right, is can’t be wrong. If you are good in visualising, close your eyes and imagine the object or colour in the room, if you have a bad feeling about it, leave it.
The Hallway
This is usually the first place visitors enter. As first impressions count, a warm welcome is most appreciated. A red carpet or rug can do the trick. A picture with red as its dominant colour or some red flowers work equally as well. This will make it nice to come home on a cold day as well. During hot summer days just add a touch of blue.
The Kitchen
As the kitchen tends to get hot whilst cooking, it should definitely have blue in it. A touch of green is also helpful because of its calming properties, esp. when the cooking or baking goes wrong. This can be easily achieved through a plant or some herbs on the window seal.
Red should be avoided because of its warm properties which will only heat up the atmosphere even more.
The Living Room
It is recommended to keep the walls in a neutral colour, so that you can change colours without too much difficulty depending on your mood or health.
Often each member of the family tend to have their favourite seat, so it is easy to place the colour we think a person needs at a particular time close to the seat to attract the cosmic energy.
Coloured glass or crystals by the window can create amazing light effects in the living room and have all colours of the rainbow fill the room.
Candles are also a good tool to add colour to the room. And when they’re lit they are also very relaxing. If you or a member of your family tends to be very sensitive, a green candle would be very effective, a blue candle aids general healing and an orange candle for example can lift your mood.
The Bathroom
This room is very easy to bring colour into, yet usually is the most neglected room in the house. Toilet paper comes in all sorts of colours and towels can quickly and easily add a touch of the desired colour.
Bathmats or shower curtains can also be chosen in many different colours.
The Bedroom
Orange is a good colour to add to the bedroom as it increases creativity and imagination. If an orange room sounds too bright for you, just add some orange flowers (fresh or dried), candles or bed linen containing orange for example.
If you feel the need to add a particular colour to help you, the bedroom is a good place to do this, as you spend much time in this room.
If you suffer from insomnia, paint your bulb pink.
Try to avoid bright colours for the curtains, calmer colours help you sleep better.
If there isn’t much space, it is equally as effective to place a piece of coloured paper under the pillow.
Colours at work
Obviously for most of us it is not possible to decorate our workplace in the colours we like. However, it is often possible to add a little touch here and there without anybody noticing it.
For example put a small piece of paper under the telephone to aid communication. An orange piece under the mouse pad helps if you are bored with what you’re doing. A piece of green paper stuck under the desk can help to create harmony which is much needed at any work place.
Try to avoid yellow, as it can be overpowering and distract from your work.
Clothing in the right colours
Choosing the right clothes can make a big difference to our mood and health. The colours move into the aura and have therefore a healing effect on a mental and physical level. Dressing in the colours of the aura magnifies them.
Red in the clothing for example can have an empowering effect. However, too much red can make aggressive. If you are about to have a difficult conversation with your boss or a difficult person or are about to fight in court, a red dress can give you the oomph needed to win.
Red socks in winter are a good idea to keep you warm. Red underwear is great for backache.
Orange is a good colour to give gentle warmth, but is a colour that should be avoided by nervous people who get easily agitated. However, it increases the immunity and sexual potency.
When feeling nervous, add some green to your outfit. A touch of orange (for example a scarf or tie) can add vitality. Green also helps balancing the emotions and helps to relax.
If you’re constantly looking for balance in live, then peach is a good colour to go for.
Blue is a general healing colour and can be worn in any shape, shade or form. Purple or violet match well and enhance the healing properties of the blue colour.
Purple activates the self-healing powers and strengthens the bones.
If you try to fight a disease, wear lots of silver. The best from to do this is jewellery. It is a great colour to detox your body.
Too many black and dark colours should be avoided as they attract negative energies which can make us feel depressed. If you wear dark colours, brighten them up with accessories like jewellery (they don’t have to be real, a coloured glass stone will still attract the energy), scarves, hair pins etc. Even though black disguises the true colours of your aura, it also keeps negative energy away.
If you have an exam, interview or similar, a yellow blouse or shirt would be beneficial as it is the colour of wisdom and increases your charismatic vibrations.
